Haier Biomedical Partners with Vietnam's S.I.S International Hospital to Launch Vietnam's First Smart Pharmacy Demonstration Project

Against the backdrop of continuously deepening its overseas "one country, one strategy" localization approach, Haier Biomedical has made another strategic move in Southeast Asia. On October 24th, Haier Biomedical reached a strategic cooperation agreement with S.I.S International Hospital — a renowned stroke treatment center in Vietnam's Cần Thơ — and VT Healthcare, jointly advancing the implementation of Vietnam's first "full-process intelligent digital medication management solution" for hospital use.

Building a Vietnamese Smart Pharmacy Benchmark, Driving Quality Enhancement and Efficiency Gains Across the Healthcare System

Vietnam is confronting the dual challenges of rapid population aging and a surge in healthcare demand, making the digital and automated transformation of its medical system an urgent priority. As Vietnam's first specialized cardiovascular and stroke hospital, S.I.S International Hospital, despite being equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, still has significant gaps in pharmaceutical management and smart medication administration.

Leveraging its full-scenario AI solution capabilities in the smart medication domain, Haier Biomedical has built upon its IncGPT-Med model — purpose-designed for pharmacy automation scenarios — to develop intelligent agents covering pharmacy inventory management, automated restocking, drug identification, rational medication guidance, and intelligent sorting. For S.I.S International Hospital, this translates into a customized intelligent management system encompassing the full cycle of drug "storage, transfer, dispensing, distribution, and administration," achieving closed-loop controllability in pharmaceutical management, enhanced staff efficiency, and strengthened medication safety — setting a new benchmark for smart pharmacies in Vietnam.

Phan Trịnh Minh Hiếu, Executive Vice President of S.I.S International Hospital, stated: "Introducing Haier Biomedical's smart medication solution is a pivotal step in the hospital's digital transformation. The solution not only optimizes human resources and reduces errors, but will also elevate patient experience and overall service quality."

From Thailand to Vietnam: The Global Localization Strategy Continues to Deepen

The successful implementation of this Vietnam project marks yet another milestone in Haier Biomedical's Southeast Asian localization push, following its partnership with Thailand's RAM Medical Group in August. To date, Haier Biomedical has deployed products and solutions across more than 160 countries and regions worldwide, holds over 400 internationally certified product models, and has co-built a collaborative ecosystem with more than 1,100 partners. In the first half of 2025, the company's overseas revenue grew by more than 30% year-on-year, with localized operational systems now established in 17 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Brazil, Singapore, and the UAE.

Haier Biomedical has evolved from simply "going global" through product exports to truly "going deep" through localized innovation and localized operations — enabling the company to focus precisely on the differentiated needs of regional users and deliver targeted service. The results of this localization effort have been impressive. In emerging markets, Haier Biomedical continues to advance localized operations and ecosystem co-construction across high-potential priority regions such as Southeast Asia, driven by a dual engine of "technology and ecosystem." This approach achieves a deep fusion of product strategy and market strategy at the local level, steadily positioning the company as a meaningful force in driving the upgrade of regional healthcare systems.
